Power Outage

Power Outage

Last Wednesday, like half a million other people in the Puget Sound area, I woke up to no power. We were lucky enough our ITN offices had power and our crews were already on their sites working.

Many of our clients weren't so fortunate and our techs were scrambling around the city helping companies restart servers so they could keep moving. In the last few months we've moved a lot of our clients from on-premise phone systems onto our hosted platform. We got happy texts from those clients all day long as they were able to have their calls roll seamlessly to cell phones so they could take care of customers. We had a client re-route part of their call center without missing a beat to accommodate the outages.

My working from home setup took a beating since my house still doesn't have power. But I was able to keep working with my clients, my vendors and my employees using the Intermedia platform. Anyone out of the area probably didn't know we were having a major storm and outages. It is just another way ITN can help your company become more resilient.
